Travel and Transport Continues to Enhance Their Customer Experience through Technology with the Acquisition of TripLingo
OMAHA, (Neb.) – April 23, 2019 Travel and Transport is again evolving its Dash platform for the benefit of its customers. After introducing shared trip notifications, trip invoices and access to the online booking tools via a single sign-on through Dash Mobile a year ago, Travel and Transport is further enhancing Dash Mobile by acquiring the app TripLingo, a popular platform for assisting travelers during international trips.
TripLingo’s suite of products includes its namesake mobile app that allows business travelers to deal with common challenges faced abroad, including translation, cultural information, cost-saving tools and safety features. The app allows for instant voice and image translation, a database of phrases in the local language, etiquette and tipping information, and tools that help travelers save money on roaming costs and access critical safety information in case of an emergency.
“TripLingo has been a part of Dash Mobile for several years using an API to make it accessible to our travelers,” said Michael Kubasik, executive vice president and CIO at Travel and Transport, Inc. “By acquiring TripLingo, we can better integrate the existing software and expand the offerings for our clients to include duty of care and Wi-Fi dialer and other offerings our corporate clients and international travelers need.”

Dash Mobile was first developed in 2011 in a pub with wire frames drawn on a napkin and the idea that the travel experience could be enhanced through a mobile app. Today Dash Mobile is available via a new cross-functional, code-based platform. Travel and Transport utilizes focus groups and internal stakeholders to constantly enhance the product and create a roadmap for future development or acquisitions.
Travel and Transport has completed several acquisitions in the last six to eight years, most recently 100 percent ownership of Radius Travel, a global travel management company made up of best-in-class travel member agencies.
