New security measures that may include additional and stricter stricter screening of passengers will take effect on Thursday 26 October, 2017 on U.S.-bound flights. This may include additional screening and short interviews of passengers as well as additional screening on electronic devices larger than a smartphone.

Travel and Transport Statesman: Passengers flying to the US from today onwards are advised to allow extra time before their flight due to enhanced security checks being introduced for all US bound flights.
