Royal Caribbean adding lifeguards to all swimming pools

March 3, 2017 Mark Dauner

Looking for options for a worry free family vacation? Maybe you should try a cruise! Royal Caribbean International has announced that they will be adding lifeguards to all of their swimming pools. This is just one step they are taking to enhance its safety measures. “Royal Caribbean International has implemented a water safety program across our fleet to raise awareness amongst our guests about the importance of vigilance while enjoying water features on our ships” the cruise line said in a statement to press this week.

Other features of this program include:

  • Swim vests for kids
  • Water safety presentations for both younger children and teens
  • Signage and messaging throughout the ship emphasizing water safety

Royal Caribbean says that the program will begin its roll out this month and should be fully implemented by June, 2017.
